There are so many candle making tips out there, this would be a good thing except for the fact that not all of them are good. For this reason this short article is just going to go over some of the more important tips to help you out with the candle making projects, hope you enjoy!
One of my favorite candle making tips has to do with saving money. Instead of going to the store to buy candle wax you can easily make your own wax at home or just reuse wax from old candles. You can make your own wax with crayons, all that you have to do is remove all the paper wrapping from the crayons and place them in to boiling bags, feel free to put like colors together or mix them up. Place the boiling bags in to a boiling pot and in ten minutes you have candle wax!
You can reuse old candles for your projects as well, this is easy to do as all that you have to do is to take old candles, melt the wax, remove the wicks and wick tabs from the melted wax and you are ready to use it.
As far as candle making tips go, this is another good one. If you do not want to buy candle molds, then you do not have to, you can easily make your own candle molds at home. Here is a list of some of the things that you can use as candle molds: cat food cans, glass jars, wax milk cartons, soda cans, soup cans, baby food jars, a glass, a mug, and a muffin pan, just to name a few.
How about this, you want to make candles at home but you do not have a double boiler or a candle pouring pot, this is not a problem at all! All that you have to do is use a regular boiling pot and an empty, clean, and dry soup can. Use the soup can as the top pot of the double boiler and the boiling pot as the bottom pot of the double boiler.
